Born in Tekuti Hospital on 28 October 1958 and christened Lesley (oophs should that have been Leslie) John Lek this young child was always going to struggle. He lived in a little town called Porootaroa beside the Main Trunk Line which was made up of just seven houses. While his dad toiled on the railway Lesley's mind began to mature.
